Contact and get in touch forms: your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message, including the problem or idea you describe and any options you select.

Email and phone: whatever you choose to share when you contact me directly.

Quotations and invoices: company name, address, KVK and VAT number, contact details and the agreed scope, needed to send a proposal or an invoice.

Website analytics: with your consent, a pseudonymous record of pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, browser, referring source and time of visit. IP addresses are not stored in full.

Cookies: a single local storage entry that remembers your cookie choice, and your language and theme preference. These are strictly necessary or functional and are not used for advertising.

To answer your question and to prepare and send a quotation (performance of a contract or steps taken at your request).

To carry out an assignment and to send invoices, and to keep the administration required by law (legal obligation, seven-year fiscal retention).

To follow up on an enquiry you started and to keep a simple record of that conversation (legitimate interest in running a business).

To understand how the website is used and to improve it (consent, given via the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time).

Your data is never sold. It is shared only with the processors needed to operate this business: the hosting and database provider that runs this website, the email delivery provider used to send replies, quotations and invoices, and the accounting party used for bookkeeping and tax obligations. All processors act on instruction and under a processing agreement.

Data is processed inside the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, this is covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact. Quotations, invoices and related correspondence are kept for seven years to meet Dutch fiscal obligations. Analytics records are kept for a maximum of 14 months. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time, unless a legal retention period applies.

All traffic to this website is encrypted with TLS. Data is stored in access-controlled databases with row-level security, and the administration area is protected by authentication and role checks. Access is limited to the people who genuinely need it, which in practice is one person.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Send a request to mike@north-forge.eu and you will get a reply within 30 days, in practice a lot faster.

If you are not satisfied with how your request is handled, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

North-Forge does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you. Every quotation is reviewed and sent by a human.
